How to use Lice Killing Shampoo !
Body or head lice, it’s still not a pretty sight or a nice feeling. Sadly our children face higher risk of being infested. The good news is that lice do not trigger any other disease in the infested person. And fortunately there are lice treatments that are available to help you get rid of lice.
Lice killing shampoo such as Rid or Nix have been manufactured specifically for treating head lice. Some shampoos actually come with the comb that is needed to remove the dead lice and the nits. Nits are more effectively removed using the nit lice comb as they are small and hard to get rid of using shampoo.
Lice killing shampoos will only work properly if you read the instructions before use. It’s very important to do so if you want to see results. Instructions will inform you how to apply your shampoo and for how long you should leave it for.
On a general basis, the application processes across head lice killing shampoos is relatively easy and is similar across all shampoos. They may differ in the amount of time that you will have to soak your hair in the shampoo.
For example, A – 200 Pyrinate liquid requires that you leave your hair slathered in the shampoo for an average of ten minutes. Do not exceed time limit as this may have negative effects to your skin or hair.
So how does the lice killing shampoo work? The chemical composition of all of these shampoos, whether RID, A200, Pronto or Nix, affects the central nervous system of the lice. This disables the insect from any activity and it dies within the next seconds.
Be careful before you use any of these shampoos. Before you pay it, make sure you read off the ingredients that were used to manufacture it. In this way, you guard against possible allergies and negative reactions to the shampoo.
At the most common lice shampoos require two consecutive days in application and then reapply about seven to ten days after initial application for the best results. Nix however only requires a maximum of two applications and it assures that all lice and nits will be dead.
What can be the best head lice treatment for one person may be useless to another. Some lice have become resistant to some shampoos. SO not everyone will have their heads lice free after the application. This will call for a different approach on how to kill lice crawling in your head.
Don’t despair, go to your doctor when it’s not working and he will suggest or prescribe something different for you. The shampoo may have some side effects. These include, skin or scalp irritation, minor dandruff and asthma to easily affected persons.
