How To Get Rid Of Head Lice
Are you plagued with head lice in your family? Did you think they had gone for good? Here are a few tips I have learned from experience that may help you get rid of head lice. First of all do not be too alarmed if you have found head lice in your hair or another member of your family. These horrible creatures are far more common than you would imagine but there ARE solutions to this problem.
First thing is to establish which family members have the head lice by inspecting each in turn. Most will mainly be found at the temples, back of neck and top or crown of head. If children are infected keep them away from school until the problem is treated. This will prevent them being spread to other families via hair contact at school.
Obviously the first thing to buy will be a head lice comb. There are some very cheap and effective ones available at chemists and electronic nit combs can also be bought. Either will work effectively if used properly, it is just down to personal choice. I use the basic plastic comb with metal teeth rather than spend a lot of money on electric versions and find that it works fine on my children.
Secondly you must find some form of treatment or remedy to eradicate the problem and get rid of head lice for good. There are many types of lotions to choose from, some a lot more expensive than others. As yet I have only found one in particular that works effectively, it seems that after a certain amount of time the head lice become immune to certain treatments so I have found that using different lotions in rotation often works better.
